The Little Free Pantry
The Little Free Pantry is a ministry provided by Rise UCC to support the needs of our local community. The pantry contains food and hygiene items that are available twenty-four hours a day. The pantry is on the side lawn of the Romeo Historical Society Museum located at 132 Church Street in Romeo. The closest major food pantry, which is open during specific times of the week, is Samaritan House. It is located just south of 29 Mile Road on Van Dyke.
Over this past year, we have watched our Little Food Pantry empty almost daily. There has been an increase in need for items like diapers, feminine hygiene products, soap, toothpaste, canned fruits and vegetables, and almost everything else we supply. As the price of groceries continues to increase, we expect this trend will continue.
